Remitly Referral Code

Remitly sends money internationally to bank accounts, mobile wallets and cash pickup across most major corridors. Its referral program is generous per referral but capped, and the reward is transfer credit rather than money.

Two things about Remitly's referral program are routinely misreported.

First, it is capped. Remitly's own referral page states that you earn rewards for up to 20 successful referrals. Several listing sites claim there is no limit on how many friends you can refer — that is contradicted by Remitly directly.

Second, the reward is not cash. Remitly's terms describe it as a promotional offer to use on your next transfer: a discount, a bonus, a fee-free transfer or a third-party gift card, depending on the campaign. Rewards have no cash value and cannot be transferred or exchanged for money. If you were expecting a payout to your bank, this is not that kind of program.

The qualifying conditions are precise and worth reading before you share a link. Your friend must be a new Remitly customer, must reach Remitly through your link and sign up through it, and must successfully send their first transfer to a person other than you. Sending to yourself does not qualify. If the transfer is cancelled — by your friend or by Remitly — the referral does not count. Additional send requirements may apply depending on your region.

Both of you may be asked for identity documentation under Remitly's KYC obligations before any reward is released.

Several things are explicitly prohibited: referring existing Remitly or Remitly Business customers, including through alternative logins or identities; referring anyone under 18; and creating multiple registrations for yourself. Remitly can withhold rewards, suspend or terminate accounts where it finds abuse.

Reward values vary by region and campaign and Remitly can change them at any time, though referrals already completed under an earlier reward are honoured. Check Rewards then Invite in the app for the figure that applies to you.
