This project has now examined several hundred referral programmes, and the overwhelming majority pay in something other than money — shop credit, wallet balances, platform coins with no published conversion rate, scratch cards whose average is never stated, gadgets valued at list price, vouchers, gigabytes of storage, litres of diesel, points, and "cashback" that turns out to be a discount. A programme that says cash and means cash is genuinely uncommon, and it deserves saying rather than passing over.

One verification worth doing, because "cash" is used loosely across this industry: ask how it actually arrives — a bank transfer or PayPal payment is cash; a "cash card" or store balance is not. 3. Whether the packaging must be kept.
4. Refund or comfort exchange — materially different promises.

What becomes of a returned mattress, since people reasonably ask: most reputable companies do not resell them. They are collected and either donated to charities or NGOs, or recycled into materials for other furnishings such as rebound carpet padding.
